About Us

Mitchell Kaufman

Founding Partner

Mitchell spent three years on the SMU football team and graduated with a master's in finance before beginning his career at Carleton Companies where he served as director of preconstruction. He founded Kaufman DC in January 2021, and has since built it into a vertically integrated development, general contractor, and property management company. Kaufman DC has delivered multifamily communities, single-family subdivisions, and light industrial facilities with total revenues well over $100M — growth made possible by Kaufman Civil Construction, which performs every facet of civil work in-house.

Max Holsomback

Director

Max graduated with a BBA in finance from The University of Texas. He began his career at Regions Bank covering public REITs and private funds, before joining OHT Partners as a Development Analyst. In his four years at OHT, Max oversaw multifamily development across the DFW market — managing projects from initial site due diligence through construction and lease-up, totaling 2,600+ units in excess of $600M in project cost. He joined Kaufman DC in May 2026 to help lead development and new business.
